Clare Cottage is situated centrally within easy walking distance of the Saxon town of Sherborne Dorset and is perfectly placed for the shops restaurants award winning pubs markets and the magnificent Abbey which dates back to 705. This beautiful town has many wonders to see among them this small but delightful museum with unique medieval wall paintings and a fossil collection. Dorset is full of beautiful National Trust properties waiting to be discovered and a very informative Tourist office. The Jurassic coast is a 40 minute drive away with many wonders to see and some wonderful walks. For children there is anything from Steam Trains Monkey world Oceanarium at Bournemouth Abbotsbury Swannery Poole Harbour Cruises Adventure Wonderland and many more. br / br / The train station which comes from London Waterloo is only a 6 minute walk away from my cottage or if you prefer to drive I have free off street parking. br / br / I have created a unique experience here at my home with relaxed charm and elegance it is perfect for the business man or woman or that special occasion when you know that you deserve to spoil yourselves. In the summer the charming garden is available for that delicious evening drink or just to sit and enjoy the sun. In the winter months one can curl up in front of a crackling fire with a glass of wine and catch up on a long wished for good book

Directions to Clare Cottage Sherborne

London Waterloo - Train: On leaving the station walk up Digby Street passed the NFU mutual insurance till you come to Cooks Lane. Go left down Cooks Lane passed The Digby Tap Pub carry on into Westbury and go left on at the T Junction. Clare Cottage is approx 90 metres along Westbury directly opposite St Antony s Square The Cottage is set back off the street between two hedges a lamp post and a telegraph pole on the left hand side. br/ br/ London - Road: M3 A303 to Wincanton take sign to Sherborne. At traffic lights turn right onto A30. At next traffic lights turn left onto Acerman Street. Go over Horsecastle crossroad and passed the Vet (Newton Clarke on the right hand side) into Westbury. Go round right hand bend and Clare Cottage is on the left hand side in about 90meters between two hedges a lamp post and a telegraph pole. The Cottage is set back off the road. Once you have entered the small drive way the cottage is on the right hand side.
