The property has been run as a Bed and Breakfast since its conversion in the mid nineties. Its current owners, Liz Woolston and Mike Hurford, have refurbished all of the bedrooms and guest areas to a high standard, providing fresh and light accommodation. All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV and free Wi-Fi. Cowscot House is ideal for short stays or for longer breaks and provides an excellent base for touring and exploring the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. It is situated on the edge of the popular village of Kirkby Malzeard which offers a good range of everyday facilities including a general store, a popular butchers, two pubs, a fish and chip shop, a doctor’s surgery, garage, tea room, school and a village church and hall All of the four double/twin bedrooms are en suite and were refurbished in early 2009. They are all on the ground floor, either in the converted barn or adjoining stables overlooking the courtyard garden.
