Now considered a Headingley institution, Salvo's first opened its doors in 1976 and has been packing in customers ever since for it's great buzzy atmosphere, friendly service and wonderful selection of traditional and more contempory Mediterranean cuisine. It has recently been voted 'The UK's best neighbourhood Italian Restaurant' by Gordon Ramsay. The Salumeria, a couple of doors down from the restaurant is open during the day as a cafe and then transforms into an intimate restaurant in the evening offering an authentic Italian dining experience.
