- Standing in its own Great Park, Hatfield House was built in 1611 by Robert Cecil, first Earl Salisbury and Chief Minister to King James I. It is filled with superb examples of Jacobean craftsmanship and home today to the 7th Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury and their family.
- This is the UK’s largest zoo. Set in 600 acres of beautiful parkland on the Chiltern Hills, it’s home to more than 2,500 animals, many of which are endangered in the wild. Whipsnade Zoo is in Dunstable, Bedfordshire and is approximately 14 miles from Bovingdon.
