Via A38 from London Bristol the North - Road: 1 Leave the A38 at the Marsh Mills junction heading for Plymouth City Centre 2 Avoid the left lane to Mutley after about half a mile - continue to follow City Centre markings instead 3 Keep left to stay on A374 Gdynia Way and ultimately come up to a roundabout where you turn left using the bypass lane into Exeter Street 4 Turn left at third set of lights to go down Bretonside on the B3240 and turn left at mini roundabout 5 Follow this road to turn left up Athenaeum Street at the Walrus br/ br/ Via A38 from the West - Road: 1 Cross Tamar Bridge hold A38 to Manadon exit 2 Exit and take A386 to Plymouth pass Home Park stadium on left 3 Bear left following City Centre signs and come to roundabout - go straight on and climb underneath railway viaduct 4 Follow City Centre signs to bear right at a major roundabout and go down a dual carriageway 5 Cross major road intersection with traffic lights and climb turning right at the lights 6 Turn left at Duke of Cornwall up Citadel Road. Athenaeum St is second left br/ br/ From North and Central Devon via A386 - Road: 1 Enter suburbs eg Woolwell and Crownhill 2 Cross over A38 at Manadon continue past Home Park stadium to the left 3 Bear left following City Centre signs and come to roundabout - go straight on and climb underneath railway viaduct 4 Follow City Centre signs to bear right at major roundabout and go down a dual carriageway 5 Cross major road intersection with traffic lights and climb turning right at the lights 6 Turn left at Duke of Cornwall up Citadel Road. Athenaeum St is second left br/ br/ From Plymouth Railway Station - Train: 1 Easily walkable if you are used to it and don t have bulky/heavy luggage (otherwise use taxi rank at the station fare c.£6). 2 Come out of the station cross and head right going upward and to left to join road from the left. 3 Use subways to pass underneath a large roundabout and descend into Plymouth using the Armada Way pedestrian zone. 4 Cross Royal Parade and Princess Street and turn right down Notte Street. 5 Turn left at Walrus pub climb Athenaeum Street to reach Rainbow Lodge br/ br/ From Plymouth Bus and Coach Station - Coach: 1 The main coach station in Plymouth is in Bretonside. It s easily walkable if you are used to it and don t have bulky/heavy luggage (otherwise there is a taxi rank just outside the station fare c.£4) 2 Walk round the right perimeter of the coach station turning right near the entrance to climb Bretonside. 3 Bear left at Buckland Street passing Spice Well restaurant to turn right at the T junction and go up Notte St 4 Turn left at Walrus pub and climb Athenaeum St to reach Rainbow Lodge
