Mirfield Monastery is a beautiful former Mill Owner s House originally built in the 19th Century set in twenty acres of quiet gardens and woodlands. It is now the home of the Community of the Resurrection an Anglican monastic order. br / br / br / br / Our bed and breakfast facility is located in the annexe building a short distance from the monastery. Those staying in the bed and breakfast annexe are welcome to enjoy the grounds and join the monks for worship in the church. br / br / br / br / Ideally located just off the M62 near Leeds Bradford Huddersfield and Halifax in the heart of the Pennines - the enviable location of Mirfield Monastery offers excellent access and great countryside. br / br / br / br / Please note that we are unable to accept guests for check in between 17.30 and 18.45 as as the brethren are in worship. br / br / Latest check in time is 21.00 br / br / br / br / Mirfield Monastery welcomes visitors using the monastery as either a retreat house or a conference centre. It is open for groups or individuals and has a full programme of activities throughout the year. The ideal venue for just about every event of any shape or size Mirfield Monastery can host conferences workshops retreats church groups weddings and receptions all on site. br / br / br / br / RETREAT HOUSE GUESTS: if you are wanting to book a place in the retreat house alongside the community please email or call us. The bed and breakfast is NOT the booking site for guests wanting to book into the retreat house. br / br / br / br / NOTE: unaccompanied minors will not be accommodated.

Directions to Mirfield Monastery Mirfield

M62 Junction 25 - Road: The easiest way to get to the Mirfield Monastery is to come off the M62 at junction 25. Follow the signs towards Mirfield. You will invariably come to a queue of traffic at Cooper Bridge Roundabout at the end of the road. Fork left and follow the signs towards Leeds on the A62 up the hill past the 3 Nuns pub on your left. Take the first right at the lights after the petrol garage . We re about a half mile down this road on your right. br/ br/ Mirfield Train Station - Train: The nearest train station is Mirfield now on the intercity central route which is a mile from the Mirfield Monastery. Leaving the station walk uphill on Station Road toward Mirfield town centre. Turn left onto Huddersfield Road at the first traffic light. Walk approximately 1/2 mile to Stocksbank road which branches off to the right. Continue uphill and the Mirfield Monastery will be on your left. br/ br/ Huddersfield - Bus: From Huddersfield train station turn left out of the station cross the main road at the traffic lights and catch bus Nos 201 202 203 and ask for Nab Lane P.O. The journey takes about 30 minutes. br/ br/ Leeds - Bus: From Leeds station turn left out of the station and at the traffic lights turn right walk about 200 yards cross the road to the Swinegate Bus stop under the Railway Bridge. Bus Nos 201 202 203 pass our door. This journey takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. br/ br/ Wakefield - Bus: From Wakefield station turn right out of the station and then left into Westgate walk about 350 yards heading towards the Bull Ring straight across the road at the traffic lights into Union Street where the bus station is situated. Bus No 250 takes you past the Mirfield Monastery asking for Nab Lane PO. The journey would normally take about an hour.
