Rigg Bay is a tree lined sandy beach suitable for swimming and paddling There are rock pools for children to enjoy paddling exploring sea life and for walkers there is a pretty coastal walk to the village of Garlieston with village shop, pub and bowling green in one direction or pretty woodland path up to the ruin of Cruggleton Castle and view across to the Cumbrian hills. Foragers can collect mussels off the rocks and mackerel, sea bass and mullet can be caught for tea.
