Welcome to the SW Regional Swimmers

Submitted by Roman House Bed and Breakfast on 16 Apr 2012

Welcome to SW Regional Swimmers Perhaps it all started with Plymouth's rising and falling(in a dive) star diver-Tom Daley. Prior to his putting Plymouth on the map as a sporting venue, the City was a sleepy outpost for diving. Of course there was Sharron Davies who set a record by swimming for the British national team at the age of only eleven and winning a silver medal at the Olympics Games in 1980 over 400m. Perhaps she was the prime mover. Now Plymouth has a state of the art swimming complex capable of hosting regional, indeed national or international swimming and diving events. Roman House B&B welcomes the South West Regional swimming event in Plymouth 5 & May 2012.
