Welcome to SW Regional Swimmers
Perhaps it all started with Plymouth's rising and falling(in a dive) star diver-Tom Daley. Prior to his putting Plymouth on the map as a sporting venue, the City was a sleepy outpost for diving. Of course there was Sharron Davies who set a record by swimming for the British national team at the age of only eleven and winning a silver medal at the Olympics Games in 1980 over 400m. Perhaps she was the prime mover.
Now Plymouth has a state of the art swimming complex capable of hosting regional, indeed national or international swimming and diving events. Roman House B&B welcomes the South West Regional swimming event in Plymouth 5 & May 2012.
