Owermoigne is one of the most picturesque villages in a tranquil and secluded corner of coastal Dorset. Lime Tree lodge is 150 yards off the A352 between the Saxon town of Wareham and the County town of Dorchester, home of Poundbury, Prince Charles' venture into village/workplace design and development. Owermoigne is 10-15 minutes from the beaches of Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Ringstead Bay, Osmington and Weymouth. There are a large number of fine eating establishments close by including local produce supplied designer chef establishments, local inns, as well as Italian, Indian and Chinese cuisine. Locally caught fish restaurants are a-plenty. Beaches, watersports, golf, and attractions such as Thomas Hardy country, The Tank Museum, Monkey World, Brewers Quay, Jurassic Coast, sub-tropical gardens at Abbotsbury, The National Sailing Academy (home to the 2012 Sailing Olympics).
