M25 junc 28 A12 - East Anglia and Chelmsford. Follow signs for Colchester approx. 40-45 miles along the A12. Turn off to Colchester central (exit after Colchester West).Continue 500 metres to a large roundabout and take 2nd exit (town centre).Continue to next roundabout and take 3rd exit (town centre). Follow this road until you reach the next roundabout and take 1st exit. Keep in right hand lane and bear right at first set of traffic lights. Drive up the hill straight on and turn left at lights at the top. This is the High Street and the hotel is 500 metres down on the right hand side next door to MandS. PLEASE NOTE: The Red Lion Hotel does not have its own car park (these were not required in c1465!). We recommend that you initially park in the loading bay outside the hotel take your luggage up to reception and check-in.
