Buckle Yeat Guest House is situated in the village of Near Sawrey which is an ideal location for touring the English Lake District and discovering the real Lakeland. Hill Top Farm former home of the writer and artist Beatrix Potter is situated almost next door to our guest house. 'Buckle Yeat' is famous for its connections with Beatrix Potter the cottage being illustrated in the 'Tale of Tom Kitten' and 'The Pie and the Patty Pan'A traditional 17th Century Lakeland cottage with en-suite guest rooms which are tastefully decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind each also have the additional comforts of tea and coffee making facilities televisions and we also have free Wifi access for guests with their own laptops and a laptop available for guests to check their email and access the internet.Our family run guest house is open throughout the year and a warm and friendly welcome awaits our guests wanting an enjoyable and relaxing short break or holiday. Whatever the time of year relax in the large lounge by the log fire and additional full central heating on those cooler evenings. Ample off road parking spaces are available free of charge to our guests.

Directions to Buckle Yeat AMBLESIDE

Near Sawrey is situated on the west side of Lake Windermere a mile from the ferry.Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 36 and follow the A591 towards Windermere. At the roundabout just north of Kendal turn left and follow the ferry signs up the B5284 Crook Road .The Crook Road leads to the southern end of Bowness on Windermere and the ferry crossing is signposted. If you do not wish to use ferry when leaving M6 follow A590 to Newby Bridge and travel up the west side of Windermere towards Hawskhead and follow signs to Near Sawrey. Near Sawrey is a mile from the ferry and Buckle Yeat AMBLESIDE is a few yards from the village inn.From the North head to Ambleside and follow signposts to Hawkshead and then Near Sawrey
