Directions to Cauldburn House Linlithgow

From Edinburgh on the M9Exit Junction 3 of the M9 and take left into Linlithgow. At the small roundabout take right on to Linlithgow High Street and continue along the High Street until reaching the next roundabout ( newly constructed). Take left sign posted A706 and continue out of Linlithgow. Continue under the railway bridge past the Rugby Club on the right and on out of town. At the next roundabout go straight over - sign posted Lanark A706 and continue out into the countryside. There is a short straight then a double S bend - the main road then crosses the Union canal (single traffic bridge) with right of way being given to the traffic from Linlithgow. At this point Woodcockdale Farm and a sign for Arn House is on your right. On Crossing the Union Canal the road rises steeply - the entrance to Cauldburn House Linlithgow is approx 100 yards up on the left hand side just prior to Belsyde lodge and entrance to Belsyde.From Stirling on the M9Exit Junction 4 of the M9 and go round the roundabout and exit at the 2.00 o'clock postion it will be signposted for Linlithgow. Follow the road into Linlithgow and at the Traffic lights take right. Follow the road it will go under the railway (single road) to the next roundabout. At the next roundabout take a right (exit 3.00 o'clock) - sign posted Lanark A706 and continue out into the countryside. There is a short straight then a double S bend - the main road then crosses the Union canal (single traffic bridge) with right of way being given to the traffic from Linlithgow. At this point Woodcockdale Farm and a sign for Arn House is on your right. On Crossing the Union Canal the road rises steeply - the entrance to Cauldburn House Linlithgow is approx 100 yards up on the left hand side just prior to Belsyde lodge and entrance to Belsyde.From Glasgow on the M8Exit Junction 4 of M8 and take left at the roundabout onto the A801. Continue over a series of 3 roundabouts At the 4th roundabout take a right onto the A706 (coming off at 2 o'clock) and continue out into the countryside. Remain on the A706. Further on there is a sign for Torphichen - from that sign post we are exactly 1.7 miles on the A706. DO NOT TAKE THE ROAD TO TORPHICHEN . Half a mile further on on the right hand side there is a sign for Bowden Fisheries followed by a bad bend. The entrance is approx 100 meters ahead. The entrance is facing you and is just prior to a left hand bend. Prior to the entrance there is a Lodge Cottage and a sign for Belsyde House and Farm on the right. Should you reach the canal you have over shot the entrance by 100 meters. Turn in the entrance to Woodcockdale FarmArn House and the entrance is then 100 m up the hill on your left. From Junction 4 the journey should take approximately 15minutes.Linlithgow is situated just off the M8 and M9 motorways with easy access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow Airport. It is an ideal base to see Central Scotland. Edinburgh Stirling and Glasgow are only a short car ride or a quick train journey. Linlithgow has an excellent rail service for Edinburgh Glasgow Falkirk Stirling and Dunblane. Exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs Perth and Blair Atholl is only a leisurely one hours' drive.
