The Earl of Chatham is a delightful 16th Century Inn set in the idyllic town of Lostwithiel. Jackie and Katie the new tenants would like to welcome you to this traditional Cornish pub which is full of charm and character. Our location is ideal for business or pleasure with major attractions and towns within easy reach. Lostwithiel itself has plenty to offer with an array of fine antiques shops arts and crafts restaurants pubs and much more. If you are a golf enthusiast we are a few minutes drive from Lostwithiel Golf Club. Many attractions such as The Eden Project Lanhydrock House Fowey Bodmin and some of the South West's finest beaches are all within a 6 mile radius. We are an ideal base for exploring Cornwall and the South West with Plymouth Padstow Looe Newquay Truro and Rock all easily reached within a 45 minute drive. We serve delicious home cooked food all prepared on the premises and to a high standard. We boast real ales (Cask Marque). Our open wood burner bare limestone walls and friendly locals all add to the character and make for an exceptional cozy night during the winter months whilst our large sunny beer garden has plenty of seating for you to relax in. Our rooms have all been refurbished in 2009 and all but one are en-suite however this has exclusive use of a stunning extra large bathroom. We would like to point out that being a public house with friendly locals a certain amount of noise will drift up through to the rooms during opening hours. From Plymouth follow the A38 towards Bodmin turn onto A390 towards Lostwithiel St Austell. The Earl of Chatham Lostwithiel is signposted from the main road as you enter Lostwithiel.
