It's at the end of a winding lane with stunning views over the fields. The farm has been here since 1406 and is packed full of period features. But this is no ordinary farmyard. Expect the very latest in accommodation with beautifully appointed rooms and modern bathrooms. Suites in the Stable Block have their own private entrances and most have living rooms - all rooms are ensuite. Spend the day exploring the bridleways and walks around the farm and a spot of lunch in one of the many village pubs. Why not bring your dog? There's plenty of space for them to run around. Then watch the sun set on the terrace with a glass of champagne and only the sheep for company.In the evening dine in our restaurant in the sixteenth century barn and chat to other guests in our bar before a peaceful night's sleep under ancient beams.Then in the morning enjoy a fresh local breakfast with sausage and bacon from the village and eggs from our own hens. Plus tea and coffee from Pluckley's very own Coffee Company. Pluckley was chosen as the location for ITV's Darling Buds of May and it's easy to see why. The village hasn't changed a jot in centuries. Wherever you look there are Oast Houses orchards hop gardens and fields. It's exactly as Pa Larkin left it - and just an hour from London. Directions to Elvey Farm Ashford

Leave the M20 at Junction 8 and follow the A20 signposted LenhamStay on the A20 till you reach the roundabout in Charing and take the third exit signposted A20 Ashford.At the traffic lights turn RIGHT into Station Road signposted Pluckley. Carry on for around five minutes through open countryside until you reach Pluckley. Don't turn off towards the station. Instead carry on down the hill.At the bottom of Forge Hill turn RIGHT at the Blacksmiths Arms.Take the first RIGHT into Mundy Bois Road.Take the first RIGHT into Elvey Lane.Elvey Farm Ashford is at the end of the lane.
