The cottages form part of a charming 4 star luxury former farm steading and is set in 30 acres of lush green hills. Bordered by the river Doon made famous by our national bard Robert Burns ye banks and braes oh bonnie Doon This is a great salmon river and day tickets are available for trout and salmon. The setting of the steading is particularly tranquil and attracts plenty of wild life and birds.The property dates back over 100 years and has been developed to a very high standard. The bedrooms are elegant and stylish with white Egyptian sheets on the beds. Bath robes and toiletries are provided in the en-suite toilets. There is a very well maintained garden to the front with a large variety of trees and shrubs. A stylish pergoda covers the barbeque area near to the entrance.Thos interested in walking or cycling will be spoilt for choice in the maze of small roads leading from the steading. Situated four miles from Ayr town centre we have Robert Burns cottage and Culzean Castle on our doorstep not to mention the famous championship golf course of Turnberry Old Prestwick and Troon.The cottages are fully equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing memorable holiday right down to the garlic press and fresh farm eggs. Directions to Kilmore Cottages AYR

Travelling on the A77 from Ayr take the A713 signposted Castle Douglas. Travel approximately 3.5 miles past Ayr Hospital to Hollybush. Turn right taking the yellow sign for Kilmore on to the 7034. Travel 2 miles to Skeldon Estate ( not the first turning for Skeldon) and turn very sharp left down over the river Doon about 800 yards. Kilmore Farm is up on the Right hand side. Note the yellow Kilmore Signs.
