The Lambton Hounds is a family run 250-year-old coaching inn situated in the village of Pity Me less than 2 miles from the city of Durham. With a congenial atmosphere and inviting fireplace it is a popular local with a wide selection of both keg and cask-conditioned beers on offer. Relax in the cosy snug or enjoy a meal in our restaurant. In addition to our seven bedrooms we have a traditional bar with pool table dartboard and jukebox and a relaxing beer garden. An interesting feature of our lounge bar is that it is taken from the cocktail bar of RMS Olympic sister ship of the Titanic. The Lambton Hounds can provide an excellent base to explore the North East's most famous tourist attractions. We are conveniently placed with excellent park and ride facilities close by for easy access to the historic city of Durham. We are also close to The Riverside Stadium which is host to cricket fixtures and concerts throughout the summer.

Travelling north on the A1(M).Take exit 59 (Newton Aycliffe) off the A1(M). Continue straight along the A167 following signs to Chester-Le-StreetNewcastle and ignore signs to turn right into Durham. Take the last exit from the roundabout indicating Pity Me. You will see the Lambton Hounds on your right almost immediately. Pass the pub and turn right at the mini roundabout then right again to bring you into the car park.Travelling south on the A1(M).Take exit 63 (Chester-Le-Street) off the A1(M). Continue along the A167 following signs to Durham. Take the 2nd exit from the roundabout indicating Pity Me.You will see the Lambton Hounds on your right almost immediately. Pass the pub and turn right at the mini roundabout then right again to bring you into the car park.
