Delightful small friendly Hotel . Set in sub-tropical gardens nestled on the waters egde in the sleepy village of Mousehole West Cornwall. Fourteen bedrooms all furnished to a high standard most with sea views and some with patios or balconies all ensuite. An excellent base from which to explore the stunning scenery of Penwith - just 9 miles from Land End close to the airport heliport and docks for visits to the Isles of Scilly. Wonderful peaceful atmosphere residents bar and lounge with stunning panoramic sea views across Mounts Bay and down to the Lizard. Beautiful patio and gardens leading down to the coast path. Mousehole is a vibrant Cornish community described once as 'the loveliest village in england' by Dylan Thomas - it has remained remarkably unspoiled and it's sheltered harbour is fantastic for all to enjoy let the kids play safely in the water or sit and enjoy a cream tea and watch the world go by! Please note after a short period of closure our restaurant will re-open from 24th October 2009 as The Old Coastguard Cafe. We will be serving a seltion of homemade (tapas style) 'lite bites' with the option of two specials. The restaurant will fully re-open in the spring. If you require a 'finer dinig' experience a booking service for recommended restaurants a very short walk from The Old Coastguard is available at reception.

Directions to The Old Coastguard Hotel Mousehole

Most visitors will be travelling towards Penzance on the A30. Follow the signs to Penzance and continue on the A 30 passing the Heliport on your right - you will come to a large roundabout from which you can see Tesco Supermarket. Do not take the A30 up the hill as signed but instead get in the left hand lane and follow the signs to Penzance Town Centre. As you start to enter the Town the Railway Station is on your left keep in the left hand lane and now follow the signs to Newlyn. You will be travelling beside the sea all the way through to Newlyn. As you enter Newlyn there is an Art Gallery on your left and approximately 200yds further on is a hump back bridge follow the road over the bridge and around to the left. You are now on the road to Mousehole. After approximately 2 miles you will find a large Public Car Park on your left and the Old Coastguard Hotel is immediately next door to this. We have our own Car Park.
