Standing among the 19th Century farm buildings of the Thornham Estate the Red House has belonged to the Henniker family since 1764. It offers two pretty and comfortable double bedrooms with twin beds and private bathrooms one ensuite. A third bedroom has a television and can be used to relax in as a sitting room. There is also a stair lift fitted should any guests require. Red House is at the heart of the Estate and though rural is in easy reach of all that East Anglia has to offer. It is an ideal centre for exploration and visitors can step out into the network of twelve miles of signed walks through the woods and farmland of the Estate. There is a surfaced path to the Walled Garden which is suitable for wheelchairs.

Directions to The Red House Eye

If coming from the South head north along the A140 until you reach the White Horse in Stoke Ash which sits on the junction between Thorndon and Wickham Skeith. Turn left or if you are heading from the North turn right at this junction and head down the hill until you reach the Four Horse Shoes where you will turn right just before this pub. Take the first turning to your left sign posted toward Gislingham. Continue down this road for approx 500-750m until you see sign for The Thornham Walks on your right. Once you have driven past the large car park for the walks on your right the next turning on your right will lead you into the court yard for The Red House Eye.
