Town Hall Lodge is a magnificent period building which has undergone an extensive yet sensitive conversion to provide friendly comfortable and contemporary accommodation situated behind the Town Hall overlooking the old gaol in Swanage. Start your day in our open plan oak-floored dining room enjoy our fresh fruit salad yogurts cereals and many other breakfast options all served from the huge welsh dresser whilst we cook your locally sourced full English breakfast in the adjoining flagstoned kitchen. All of the rooms are homely and well-supplied with TV's DVD players and tea-making facilities and the bathrooms are modern and well-equipped. Being so central Town Hall Lodge is a very short walk from all of the town's attractions as well as being a superb base to discover the rest of the magnificent Purbeck landscape. Everything in Swanage is so easy to get to beaches coastal walks The Pier The Stone Quay The Steam Railway and all of the town's other attractions are all less than a five minute stroll. Town Hall Lodge really couldn't be better placed to make it the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy. Swanage is a coastal town with a big character and its position at the gateway to the famous Jurassic Coastline makes it a perfect base to explore the Purbeck landscape. With its sandy beaches steam train historic pier and stone quay Swanage has a lot to offer old and young alike and with Carnival Week and several music Festivals the town is lively throughout the year. Further afield the ancient ruins of Corfe Castle Monkey World the Tank Museum small coves fossil-rich beaches quarried caves towering cliffs sea-worn arches and the whole of the Purbeck is all within approximately half hour drive from Swanage through spectacular countryside. Road DirectionsTravelling by car and arriving at Wareham you take the A351 passing through Corfe Castle and Harmans Cross and reaching Swanage town centre follow the one-way system bearing to the right at the White Swan pub On your left is the Red Lion pub and we are the next turning on your right just down behind the Town Hall.Public Transport DirectionsIf travelling by rail you could disembark at Bournemouth station catch the local bus to Gervis Place (one stop) and then take Wilts and Dorset bus 50 on a scenic route to Swanage going across the ferry at Sandbanks through Studland and we are three minutes walk from Swanage terminus Or you could go through to Poole or Wareham station catch Wilts and Dorset bus 40 going through the historic village of Corfe Castle where at certain times of the year there is a steam railway connection to Swanage rail and bus terminus.
