We are located in the centre of Headington which has its own shopping area and is conveniently located for the Nuffield Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals. It is also close to Brookes University and within easy reach of Oxford City Centre by car or bus. A coach stop to London or airports is within 4 minutes walking distance from the house and the coach service to London is every 10 minutes. It takes approximately 1 hour to reach Marble Arch in London and 50 minutes to Heathrow airport. By Coach:From GatwickHeathrow Luton and Stansted airports. Frequent coach services depart from Heathrow and Gatwick airports to Oxford. They can be boarded at the coach terminals as indicated at the airport concerned. The Gatwick coaches (the airline) depart from the south terminal lower forecourt (stand 18) and the north terminal bay 4. The Heathrow coach (the airline) departs from bay 14A of the central bus station for terminals 1 2 and 3 and bay 11 from terminal 5. The central bus station is located between Terminals 1 2 and 3 is open 24 hours and is well sign posted. It is a few minutes walk from the terminals via underground walkways. From Terminal 4 you can catch a free Heathrow Connect of Heathrow Express service to the Central Bus Station. Coaches from Heathrow and Gatwick are run by the Oxford Bus Company and coaches from Stansted and Luton are run by National Express.The buses make a few stops once they reach Oxford. Pleas tell the driver you want to get off at Headington Center(normally it is the third stop). Bear right crossing back over the motorway to another mini roundabout passing the service centre. Follow the road around and down to the A40 to Oxford. This is a dual carriageway and leads past the Park and Ride to a roundabout. This roundabout marks the ring road. Go directly across heading for the city centre and Headington. Pass two sets of traffic lights and you will find yourself in the Headington shops area and an intersection. At these traffic lights bounded by Barclays Bank Buckell and Ballard Estate Agents and a Londis shop take a left down Windmill Road. We are about 200 yards down on the left.From the south or London catch the M40 northbound to Junction 8. Exit this slip road to the A40. This is a dual carriageway and leads past the Thornhill Park and Ride to a roundabout. This roundabout marks the ring road. Go directly across heading for the city centre and Headington. Pass two sets of traffic lights and you will find yourself in the Headington shops area and an intersection. At these traffic lights bounded by Barclays Bank Buckell and Ballard Estate Agents and a Londis shop take a left down Windmill Road. We are about 200 yards down on the left.From the West Country Bristol and South Wales (M5) get the M4 eastbound. After this you have two options:1. Either take the M4 all the way to the Newbury junction and head north up the A34 to the first exit indicating Oxford. Join the ring road sign posted London M40 Cowley Kidlington and follow the road around till you get to the A40 M40 roundabout. Take the left exit in to Headington City Centre. Pass two sets of traffic lights to Headington shops and you will find yourself in the Headington shops area and an intersection. At these traffic lights bounded by Barclays Bank Buckell and Ballard Estate Agents and a Londis shop take a left down Windmill Road. We are about 200 yards down on the left.2. Take the M4 eastbound and exit at the junction for Swindon. Follow the signs to Swindon and then Oxford along the A420. This is a long winding mostly single carriage road passing Faringdon and the White Horse. You will come to the Botley interchange take the first exit to the A34 north. Exit this at the Oxford junction past the motorway service centre and head for Oxford. You will see a petrol station on the right just before a roundabout take the second exit and join the ring road. Follow this around two roundabouts. At the second take the fifth exit marked Headington City Centre. Pass two sets of traffic lights to Headington and you will find yourself in the Headington shops area and an intersection. At these traffic lights bounded by Barclays Bank Buckell and Ballard Estate Agents and a Londis shop take a left down Windmill Road. We are about 200 yards down on the left.
