Set in an impressive early Victorian villa AscotHouse Hotel was acquired in 2007 by Bernard Lien-Lambert a Frenchexpatriate. Run by Bernard and his American partner Terri the hotel has just been refurbished for a second time since acquisition resulting in 5 spacious Suites which are much more reflective of the original design and glory of the building. The two room suites (Junior & Gothic) consist each of a standard size bedroom with built-in en-suite facilities and a lounge while the other three suites have a large bathroom in addition to the bedroom and lounge. Ascot House Hotel has private off-road parking - a space for each Suite - and is most conveniently situated within a few minutes walking distance of the town centre sea front marina train station Princess Theatre and the Riviera Conference Centre. Directions to Ascot House Hotel Torquay

Making your way to the M5 South bound passing the Bristol exit you will see the signs for the South West and the A38. Follow these all the way to Torquay. Upon entering Torquay you will see a set of traffic lights by Torre Train Station. Take the right hand lane and follow the road (Avenue Road) down the hill. Cross one set of traffic lights and turn sharp left at the second into Faklands Road. Cross another set of traffic lights and Falklands Road becomes Lucius Street which itself becomes Tor Church Road where we are on the left hand side of the road opposite the Seascape Hotel. If you have a GPS system like a Tom Tom or a Garmin our postcode will take you straight to us (TQ2 5UR). If travelling by train we are only half a mile up the road - the name changes 4 times but it s nonetheless straight-on! Turn left out the station and follow Rathmore Rd up to the lights and cross straight over continuing straight-on to Falkland Rd. Go straight-on again at the next lights but road name changes to Lucius St. and then Tor Church Rd - but still the same road! We re just on the left shortly after Lucius St. becomes Tor Church Rd.
