The Downe Arms Hotel is in the village of Wykeham situated in North Yorkshire and it actually sits on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors along the A170 which is the main road into Scarborough from Pickering. From the South/North by road From the South or North take the A1 to Junction 49. At the junction take the A168 towards Thirsk. Then the A170 towards Scarborough. The village of Wykeham is on the A170 six miles from Scarborough. From the South or North by rail Take a train to York or Leeds. From there you can take a direct train to Scarborough. From Scarborough or Seamer station you can take a taxi ( under £15 ) or by pre-arrangement we can pick you up. From York by road Take the A64 ringroad direction Scarborough. Follow the A 64 to Malton. Then take the A169 to Pickering. In Pickering take the A170 East to Scarborough. The village of Wykeham is on the A170 six miles from Scarborough. From York or Leeds by rail There are direct trains from York and Leeds to Scarborough. From Scarborough or Seamer you can take a taxi ( under £15 ) or by pre-arrangement we can pick you up.
