Built in the 18th C as a coaching inn the Blue Lion has been updated to meet the needs of todays visitor yet still retains its original charm. With flagstone floors candlelit restaurant and open fires in every public room as well as a wonderful location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and an excellent reputation for food the Blue Lion has much to offer. The 15 bedrooms are all different some contemporary and some more traditional. Close to the Spa towns of Ripon and Harrogate.

Directions to The Blue Lion Leyburn

From the South:Come off the A1 at Junction 50 after the slip road at the roundabout take the turning for Masham. The road you will travel along runs parallel to the A1 for a short while. At the next roundabout take a left turn onto the .B6267. Carry along that road for about 7 miles before taking a sharp right onto the A6108 at a T-Junction keep going until you reach Masham. Follow the A6108 towards Leyburn and East Witton is around 15 minutes from Masham. On entering the village the Blue Lion is round the corner past the church on the right. From the North. Leave the A1 at Bedale. Follow the A684 through Bedale and on to Leyburn.Then take the A6108 through Middleham to East Witton.
