Throapham House is a Grade II listed property dating from around 1750 probably built as a Dower House for Throapham Manor (now demolished) but occupied by the manager of the local colliery for much of the first half of the 1900s. Our family home since 1993 it was refurbished in 2006 to provide bed and breakfast accommodation in three spacious double rooms. br / br / br / br / We were awarded 5 Gold Award at our first quality inspection in January 2007 and have maintained that standard since adding a Breakfast Award in 2010. We re delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2013 White Rose Awards. br / br / br / br / All our guest bedrooms are en-suite with shower and are equipped with top quality furniture and fittings for your comfort. Our largest room features a bath with separate shower cubicle and can be converted to a twin on request. Subject to availability and additional cost we can accommodate a third person on a fold-up bed in our two larger rooms. br / br / br / br / On arrival you will be invited to unwind in our stylish Guest Lounge where we will serve you refreshments after your journey. br / br / br / br / Free Wi-Fi is available in each guest bedroom and in the Guest Lounge. br / br / br / br / Guests are welcome to make use of our gardens weather permitting. br / br / br / br / Free off-road parking is provided on site. br / br / br / br / Throapham House enjoys a convenient and pleasant rural location in the hamlet of Throapham near Dinnington and close to the villages of Laughton-en-le-Morthen Todwick Anston Woodsetts Letwell and Firbeck. br / br / br / br / We are just three miles from the M1(J31)/M18/A57 and near to the centres of Sheffield Rotherham Doncaster and Worksop. The A1 and Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport are also nearby as are the boundaries of Nottinghamshire Derbyshire and Lincolnshire making Throapham House an ideal base for both business and leisure visitors looking for accommodation in the South Yorkshire region. Dinnington and Laughton are within easy walking distance with a variety of shops pubs and restaurants available.

Directions to Throapham House Sheffield

M1 Junction 31 - Road: Take the A57 east towards Worksop. After one mile turn left at roundabout onto B6463 signposted Dinnington. Continue for about one mile to the next roundabout. Take the second exit onto Common Road signposted Throapham and Oldcotes. Continue for about 3/4 mile into Throapham (30mph sign). You are now on Oldcotes Road. Throapham House is on left hand side on the brow of the hill (about 200yds). Turn left into our courtyard just before the B&B sign. br/ br/ A1 (Blyth - Notts) - Road: From the A1 roundabout just outside Blyth take the exit leading to Blyth village. Passing the church on your right hand side turn right onto the A634 towards Rotherham. Continue for 2.5 miles to the roundabout in Oldcotes at the King William pub. Take the first exit towards Worksop. After 200 yards turn right to Dinnington onto B6463. Continue for a further 2.5 miles to Throapham. Throapham House is on the right after 100 yards. Turn right into our courtyard just after the B&B sign. br/ br/ A57 (Worksop) - Road: Leave Worksop on the A57 towards Sheffield Continue for 2 miles to the traffic lights in South Anston. Turn right at the lights and continue for 1.5 miles to the mini-roundabout in Dinnington. Take 2nd exit and continue through Dinnington back out into open countryside. About 1 mile from Dinnington turn left at the T-junction onto Oldcotes Road and proceed into Throapham. Throapham House is on the right hand side after 100 yards. Turn right into our courtyard after the B&B sign. br/ br/ Kiveton Park / Worksop Train Stations - Train: Kiveton Park and Worksop are our two nearest train stations.
