Our B&B is a small warm and welcoming family home. The house has undergone extensive refurbishment within the last few years with new bathrooms and bedrooms. The house nestles beside the southern edge of the Cambrian mountains a vast area of outstanding natural beauty which is still relatively unknown. The Brecon Beacons too from the other side of the Irfon valley are a paradise for walkers and cyclists. We have just two rooms for visitors one a twin/double with ensuite shower room and the other a double with its own private bathroom. The house although modern is elegant with numerous antiques and paintings. We have a bespoke classical digital Phoenix church organ and a Bechstein grand piano for the use of guests who might play. We take great pride over our breakfasts. ( We have our own free range hens) We have honey from our own bees - taking advantage of all the wild flowers in the area as well as home made jams locally sourced award winning sausages and bacon and eggs from local free range hens. Vegetarians are well catered for. We are just five minutes from the centre of the town with all its unusual and colourful events. There is ample safe and secure parking so being able to drink is not a problem! The town has its own brewery with a selection of tasty beers! The Heart of Wales railway runs through the town and this can form the base from which to explore more distant places with or without bicycles. We really do try to make our guests feel at home and visitors can be assured of a warm welcome and all our attention

Directions to Ty Carreg Llanwrtyd Wells

From Builth Wells take the A483 for about 12 miles towards Llandovery. Upon entering the village take the first turn to the left opposite the garage. Continue up the hill and take the first left into Erw Haf. Ignore the first turning to the left but take the second one being a track with a vacant overgown plot on one side. We are the house on the left at the top of this track
