The Poplars originally a farm house built in 1901 is an impressive detached property with far reaching grounds. Set within an acre of gardens the Poplars Rooms are all accessed via their own private entrance affording you the privacy usually asssociated with a larger hotel whilst offering our guests the personal touches and attention to detail from a small family owned Bed & Breakfast. br / br / br / br / Ideally located for access to all major routes ( A1 A61 & A19) as well as being only 250m from the train station The Poplars is an ideal base for business or pleasure. If you would hope to arrive at a different time please advise in advance earlier and later check ins will always be accommodated wherever possible but having a specific time allows us to balance the needs of our young family with those of our guests.

Directions to The Poplars Thirsk

Thirsk Market Place - Road: Follow the signs out of town for the racecourse and train station on the A61 towards Ripon. Approximatley 100m after crossing the railway bridge and having passed a pub onright hand side there is a mini roundabout in the road. We are located on the left hand side of the road almost directly on this roundabout. Parking at both the front and rear of the property br/ br/ A1 - Exit - Road: Exit A1 at junction . Turn right and follow the signs for A61 Thirsk for approx 4 miles passing through the village of Baldersby and Skipton on Swale. At The Busby Stoop garage roundabout straight over into the village of Carlton Miniott. Follow this road through the village passing a pub on the right hand side and then the primary school. Approx 1/2 mile further you will notice a min roundabout in the road opposite a cul de sac called Ripon Way. We are on the right hand side of the road. br/ br/ Thirsk Railway Station - Train: Exit the railway station via the steps that bring you out onto the main road. Turn right and head towards The Vale of York Pub. Keep walking about 100m and we are located on the left hand side of the road on the mini roundabout.
