Under new ownership since 2010 Y Talbot has been sensitively renovated to provide high quality hospitality and accomodation. In addition to renovating all the bedrooms and public areas we have also built a superb new kitchen for our chef and team as well as landscaping the rear gardens building a new car park and bike store and renovating the Grade 2 listed porch and facade. It s been a massive project but our guests really appreciate it! br / br / Our sumptuous Superior bedrooms offer flexible accomodation to suit all needs- double twin or single family rooms suites and a ground floor accessible room for those with impaired mobility. All our Superior rooms come with luxury ensuite bathroom with walk in shower some rooms also have baths. We also offer two smaller and simpler twin and single Standard rooms. br / br / Y Talbot offers our guests excellent food and drink.Head Chef Dafydd Watkin trained with Marco Pierre White and is passionate about food using the highest quality ingredients (locally sourced wherever possible) to create our contemporary Welsh menu. We also offer a wide selection of Welsh cask ales all year round and provide a showcase for the best local produce of West Wales. br / br / West Wales has a rich and thriving Welsh language and culture most of our staff are Welsh speaking and live locallywe pride ourselves on offering a warm Croeso to our guests. br / br / Situated on the market square in Tregaron Ceredigion Y Talbot enjoys a splendid rural location at the foot of the Cambrian mountains.The university towns of Lampeter and Aberystwyth and the stunning Ceredigion coastline are only half an hour s drive away. br / br / For outdoor enthusiasts there is much to offer excellent walking can be had from the back door of Y Talbot as well as superb cycling off and on road fishing and riding. For lovers of history and culture there are numerous attractions within close proximity from early churches and Strata Florida Cistercian abbey to Devils bridge and the Hafod estate.

Directions to Y Talbot Tregaron Tregaron

Lampeter - Road: From Lampeter take the A485 for Tregaron. On arriving at the crossroads in tregaron you will see the Natwest bank on your left and a small bridge over the River Brennig to your right. Turn right over the bridge and Y Talbot is 250 yards straight ahead on the town square. br/ br/ Aberystwyth - Road: From Aberystwyth follow A487 to Llanfarian. Turn right at the junction onto the A485 which will take you straight to Tregaron. On entering Tregaron carry straight on past Nat West Bank across the bridge and y Talbot is 250 yards ahead on the town square. br/ br/ London - Road: Follow M4 west Junction 24 at Newport.From Junction 24 follow A449 then A40 to Abergavenny Brecon and Llandovery.From Llandovery take A482 to Lampeter. From Lampeter take A485 to Tregaron. On entering Tregaron turn right at crossroads with Natwest Bank facing you Y Talbot is250 yards straight ahead on the square. Alternatively head west on the M4 to Junction 49 take A48 to Carmarthen then A485 to Lampeter and from Lampeter the A485 to Tregaron. br/ br/ Cardiff - Road: From Junction 32 take A470 to Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon. Approx 15 miles north of Merthyr take A4215 to Sennybrige. At Sennybridge take A40 to Llandoverythen A482 to Lampeter.After Lampeter take A485 to Tregaron. On entering Tregaron look out for Natwest Bank at the crossroads and turn right over the bridge Y Talbot is 200 yards ahead on the square.
