The Bed and Breakfast accommodation was recently acquired by Nigel and Dawn Pattinson who until recently also ran the Dog and Gun public house at nearby Carlton Miniott. br / br / br / br / Renovations to the Forresters Arms have been carried out where care has been made only to enhance the quintessential Old Country Inn charm that the Forresters bed and breakfast has become famous for not discounting the 10 guest rooms which are now all en-suite with television tea/coffee bath and/or shower facilities. br / br / br / br / Please Note that due to the inconsiderate behaviour of previous guests there is no access to the property after midnight. br / br / br / br / br / br / Next door to the B&B accommodation is the famous Robert Mousey Thompson workshops which is situated very close to the visitor centre.Both of our bars are furnished with some fine examples of his early work the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and will appeal to all ages. The bars are still staunchly supported by the locals who welcome visitors and are more than happy to wile away the nights recounting many a local tale! br / br / br / br / Kilburn is located around 20 miles north of York centre. It is ideally located for walkers participating in the Cleveland Way. They can look forward to roaring log fires and an excellent selection of real ales and an extensive menu incorporating local produce. br / br / br / br / This is the heart of James Herriot Country within the North York Moors National Park. The Forresters is ideally situated as a touring base within striking distance of the moors and coast and most main towns.

Thirsk - Train: About 15 minutes drive. Taxi available at the station br/ br/ Thirsk - Road: Take the A170 from Thirsk going towards Pickering. Before reaching Sutton Bank take a right hand turn signed Kilburn. Follow the road to the end entering Kilburn Village. Turn right and the Pub is situated on the lefton the village square br/ br/ York - Road: Follow the A19 north of York towards Thirsk. Take a right hand turn off the A19 sign posted Coxwold and Carlton Huthwaite. Follow the signs to Coxwold and before you reach the village take a left hand turn which is sign posted Kilburn. Folllow this road into Kilburn and the Pub is situated on the right on the village square.
