It takes just over 5 minutes to drive here from the A1 trunk road and we are the first B&B in Scotland due west of Berwick-upon-Tweed. We live in a delightful barn conversion on our own farmstead with an open aspect to the front and farmyard to the rear. Our bed & breakfast got its name from the sign we put up in front of our house to allow our slow ram Reggie to amble across the lane without a care in the world. This is a perfect location for visiting North Northumberland the Scottish Borders and East Lothian. With the additional benefit of a Railway Station in Berwick upon Tweed enabling you to opt to take the train for a day-trip to Edinburgh or Newcastle upon Tyne rather than drive there. We pride ourselves on providing a homely friendly experience for our guests who describe this as a B&B like no other and a home from home experience. We also like to provide a substantial breakfast that will set guests up for the day and do offer a lighter alternative if preferred. There s plenty of outside space here to enjoy as well as the house and our farmyard is fully enclosed. We have pigmy goats horses ponies sheep sheep-dogs a whippet and cat. And the cat sleeps in the house because it does not want to be a farm cat. You will need your own transport to get here and please remember to pack indoor shoes or slippers as our carpets are light coloured (a mistake!). Our bedrooms are standard double and we only let two maximum and there is both a shower room and a bathroom on the premises and this works perfectly well. We cannot emphasise enough this is a homely friendly popular B&B and if that appeals to you then do not hesitate to get in touch. Our prices are competitive.
