The Crown Hotel - Blandford Forum

8 West Street
Blandford Forum DT117AJ

The Crown Hotel sits on the edge of Blandford with views of the Stour River s water meadows and the town and is only a 3-minute walk from The Blandford Town Museum. It has a gastro-style restaurant and a stylish upmarket bar. The current hotel was completely refurbished in 2008 - there has been an inn on this site since the 1300s. The Crown also boasts 27 en-suite bedrooms conference and banqueting facilities for up to 180 people and a large car park. The rooms feature air conditioning tea/coffee facilities hairdryer telephone and free Wi-Fi. All rooms are en-suite and host some unique furniture and Crown Hotel also has meeting rooms and a 200-seater function suite. /p The hotel uses regional food partners typically from family businesses like us who provide us with quality ingredients that our team of talented chefs (not microwave technicians!) uses to create fresh unpretentious seasonal dishes. They employ nice people who think like us and enjoy the same things that we do food & drink and perhaps more importantly take real pleasure in looking after people and making them happy. /p Set in a magnificent Georgian house the Crown Hotel is said to be haunted by a woman in black and a cloaked highwayman who was shot dead in the courtyard. The beautifully panelled walls and carefully restored Oak floors make this the perfect place to explore the wonderful Georgian town of Blandford and the wider beauty of the Blackmore Vale. /p The friendly welcoming team will aim to make your stay enjoyable. /p
