Originally built as a farmhouse in the 15th Century The Cedars Hotel has in recent years been refurbished and extended to offer the comfort and facilities of a modern hotel whilst retaining its charm character and warmth. The oak beamed bar with its large open fireplace is an ideal place for a relaxing drink or to enjoy a meal from the varied selection of bar food which is available. In the restaurant which is also open to non-residents guests may choose from an a la carte menu which offers a wide range of food at reasonable prices. There is a comprehensive wine list which has been chosen to compliment the variety of dishes served. There are 25 bedrooms each having en suite bath or shower room radio and colour television hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Eight of these rooms are situated on the ground floor with easy access for disabled or elderly guests with one being specifically adapted for wheelchair users. Directions to Cedars Hotel Stowmarket

Stowmarket Railway Station - Train: We are about 5 minutes drive or 20 mins walk from the train station. Leave Stowmarket station and head towards the Church. Turn left at the traffic lights (by VW dealer). Follow road until you reach roundabout. Take 1st exit (signed PPG Industries) Hotel is on right in 500 yds br/ br/ A14 - Road: Leave the A14 at Junction 50 and take the A1120 towards Stowmarket. After 500 yds go straight over the first roundabout (Tesco) remaining on the dual carriageway. Turn right at the next junction (roundabout with traffic lights) onto the A1308 (Needham Road). The Hotel is on the right in 500 yds but you will need to travel to the next roundabout and come back on yourself to gain access to the Car Park
