With its elegant Jacobean Great Hall the Visit England four star Thurnham Hall is a 12th-century country estate set in nearly 30 acres of grounds in scenic Lancashire. It features a leisure centre with heated indoor pool whirlpool sauna fitness centre and beauty salon available for a surcharge. The grounds include a picnic area fishing lake and playground. Set in either the historic main house or in modern courtyard buildings the spacious apartments include a well-equipped kitchen with hob microwave toaster dishwasher kettle and coffee machine. Each apartment has a private bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer. Freeview TV a DVD player and iHome alarm clock are also provided. Some apartments have a balcony or terrace. The on-site restaurant and lounge bar provide delicious local and international cuisine in a friendly setting. For your convenience a grocery store is also available on-site. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property at an additional cost. The historic university city of Lancaster with its medieval castle Maritime Museum and the majestic Williamson Park is just 5 miles away and local buses stop at the gates of the property. The glorious scenery of the Lake District National Park and the Lune Valley are easily reached in 45 minutes drive. A refundable security deposit of GBP 100 per apartment is required upon arrival. This deposit is obligatory and must be paid with a valid debit or credit card. Directions to Thurnham Hall by Diamond Resorts LANCASTER

Exit the M6 at Junction 33 (Lancaster). Follow the signs for A (Garstang/Cockerham). After approx 1 mile take along the crossroads (signposted Cockerham) where there is a large beige house. Continue along the country lane for approx 1.5 miles. Turn right at a T-junction at the end of the lane. Carry on to the T-junction and turn right at the Manor Inn public house. Continue for approx 1.5 miles until you see a row of 5 terraced cottages on a sharp right and left hand bend. Begin to indicate right at this point and turn right onto our driveway just before the red brick house. Alternate Directions: There is a direct rail network to Lancaster City Centre. From Lancaster train station you can either take the bus directly to Thurnham Hall Gates or a taxi. The journey from Lancaster is approx 4 miles. Driving: Please take extra care navigating the roads around the resort as they are quite narrow and winding.
