Welcome to our Restaurant with Rooms across the road from the dunes and the beautiful sandy beach beyond. Inspired by the coastal motels you might find in California we re a relaxing hideaway from the stresses and strains of modern life where grown-ups come to dine dream and relax. We have great food amazing beds and a lovely little spa treatment room in the garden. Our team are here to make you smile. Oliver Joyce runs the kitchen serving modern British food that highlights the best locally sourced ingredients in our relaxing restaurant that has a Scandinavian/New England feel. We are proud to be part of Squaremeal s top 100 UK restaurants 2016 and to be voted the Sussex Restaurant of the Year 2016. We have twenty calm and relaxing bedrooms decorated with an eye to the Hamptons all with supremely comfortable beds featuring king or super-king Hypnos mattresses plump goose/duck down pillows and duvets and the best 300 count linen. The coastal gardens are the for exclusive use of our guests and home to the Beach Hut a spa treatment room and peaceful oasis to enjoy a deeply relaxing massage or facial. Prices always include a lovely breakfast table of homemade cold items and 4pm tea and homemade cake.

Directions to The Gallivant Camber

The Gallivant is located across the road from the grass beach car park and towering dunes. As you enter Camber from Rye we are on the left hand side. We are about a 5 minutes drive from Rye itself or 30 minutes by foot across the marshes. If you are on the beach for the day we are located opposite Beach exit D a minute or two from the dunes.
