Built in the 18th century this former farm worker s house has been tastefully extended and upgraded to include two large rooms (double with private bathroom and twin with ensuite) and a seperate annex which accommodates up to 2 adults and 2 children on a self catering or Bed and breakfast basis Located in the heart of Wiltshire Compton Bassett has a wealth of history and is a great central location for access to the towns of Bath Avebury Marlborough Devizes Swindon as well as the popular tourist destinations of Avebury Silbury Hill Stonehenge West Kennet Long Barrows & Cain Hill Locks. The village itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside with walks a plenty and has an excellent traditional pub/restaurant which serves a selection of local ales and exceptional food.
