We also offer Wi-Fi internet access in all our bedrooms. br / br / br / br / Our village Anglican parish church is dedicated to St. Lawrence and seats around 300 people. The church is built of stone in the 13th century in the early English style consisting of chancel nave aisles south porch and an embattled western tower with pinnacles and containing 5 bells. Inside there are lively stiff-leaf capitals and dog tooth decorations on the south door. The Early Norman black marble Tourrai font is square in plan the bowl is curiously carved resting on a large central shaft with a smaller one at each angle the whole surface is enriched with sculpture in low relief and is one of few in England. The church was restored in 1883/84 and additional work was carried out in 2009/10

Thornton Abbey Rail Station - Train: Head south on Station Road turn right onto Main Street A1077 and take the first left onto Burnham Lane our car park in on the first right. We are opposite the church. br/ br/ Barton-on-Humber - Road: From the A15 (Humber Bridge) following signs to Barton-on-Humber (A1077) keep on this road (you will pass through Barrow-on-Humber) and follow the signs to Thornton Curtis. From Barton-on-Humber this should take about 8-10 minutes in the car. br/ br/ Grimsby - Road: A180 west come off at the junction for A160 (Brocklesby Interchange) for Immingham. Follow signs for A1077 towards Ulceby then Wootton then Thornton Curtis. We are on the left opposite the church. br/ br/ Immingham - Road: Follow A160 towards Ulceby (A180 & M180). Then take the A1077 towards Ulceby then Wootton then Thornton Curtis. We are on the left opposite the church. br/ br/ Scunthorpe - Road: On the M180 head east this then becomes the A180 come off at the junction for A160 (brocklesby Interchange) Immingham. Follow signs for A1077 towards Ulceby then Wootton then Thornton Curtis. We are on the left opposite the church.
