All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities TV/DVD and most have wi-fi available. br / br / We have named our rooms after famous people who have been said to have stayed at Tor Royal or who have a link with its location. br / br / Tywhitt a downstairs double en-suite bathroom br / br / Sherlock is a twin/double on first floor with ensuite bathroom adjoining the Royal Suite. br / br / Courtyard as it says overlooks the courtyard and is a pretty country style single with ensuite shower. br / br / Lilly (Langtry) peaceful with restful decoration on the top floor room with ensuite shower. br / br / Wallace a bit lush on the top floor with duel aspect large room with en suite shower private and romantic or can be sold as a triple family room. br / br / br / br / Breakfast is served in the royal suite with local Dartmoor products where possible with fruit and veg traditionally grown in the Tamar Valley. br / br / br / br / After Breakfast there is Dartmoor on your doorstep we can provide a packed lunch if you are keen walkers or point you in the direction of a good local Inn. Book a trek on one of our hardy ponies or visit nearby historic towns and cities Plymouth the home of Plymouth Gin and from where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed. Tavistock ancient stannery town and home of Sir Francis Drake visit Buckland Abbey once his grand residence. br / br / br / br / Moorwellham Quay (Edwardian Farm fame) well worth a visit I could go on and on .. in fact I will Sherlock Holmes famously tracked down the Hound of the Baskervilles in the Mire behind Tor Royal War Horse was filmed at Sheepstor just over the hill some of Rosalind Pilcher s novels have been put to film locally The Edwardian County Lady s Diary author regularly visited the area The Last white Rajahs the Brookes were based at Sheepstor visit the lovely St. Leonards Church where the family is buried.

A38 - Road: From the A38 Pear Tree junction continue over the moorland to Two Bridges take the next left to Princetown take left turn (Tor Royal Lane - if you reach the roundabout you have gone too far) over the cattle grid up the hill down the other side and follow signs for Tor Royal bed and breakfast. Phone if you get lost. We are 3/4 mile from the village.
