Welcome to Dalegarth House in the stunning Lake District village of Portinscale near the popular market town of Keswick. The house has ten comfortable ensuite bedrooms and due to the commanding position of the guesthouse many have tremendous views of the surrounding Lakeland countryside. br / br / br / br / Dalegarth has an excellent reputation not only for its rooms and views but also for the food and quality of service. The restaurant serves locally sourced foods and Cumbrian ingredients and the chef (and owner) Clare Dalton puts care an attention into each meal whether it be a Cumbrian Breakfast to set you up for the day or an enjoyable evening meal. br / br / br / br / Dinner is served at 7pm. If you would like to dine with us on your first night then you must pre-book this meal no later than 10 am on the day of your arrival. If you have already booked an evening meal with us for your first day and you anticipate your arrival to be after 4pm then please phone ahead to enable the meal of your choice to be prepared. br / br / br / br / Evening meals will not be available every evening from March 2017 br / br / br / br / Portinscale village is one mile from Keswick and the town can be reached via a flat walk which avoids the roads and therefore is safe. The village is close to lake Derwentwater where there are lakeside walks and water based activities (sailing windsurfing rowing etc). br / br / br / br / Craig and Clare welcome couples families and single visitors and Dalegarth House has rooms to suit most customers - singles twins doubles and ground floor annex (with steps). Unfortunately we do not accept children under twelve years of age or pets. br / br / br / br / Please note for the comfort of other guests our latest check in time is 9pm. br / br / br / br / A late check in fee of £50.00 will apply for any check in after 21:00 hrs. Absolutely NO check ins after 22.00 hrs.

Directions to Dalegarth House Keswick

Keswick - Road: If you haven t been to Portinscale before head west along the A66 and you will see the village sign posted just a mile or so from Keswick. Turn into the village of Portinscale and pass the Farmers Arms pub on the left start to climb up the small hill and at the top on the left hand side you will see a sign for Dalegarth House.
