Our Matlock accommodation provides the choice of twelve comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms each with its own special character. All have en-suite facilities all with showers and one with a bath and shower. Each room is equipped with colour TV and all you need to make a nice cup of tea or coffee. br / br / br / br / Hall Leys Park is on the opposite bank from the guesthouse and is a beautifully maintained area in which to stroll listen to the brass band and have a light lunch at the Park Café. Children can enjoy the freedom to run paddle go on the miniature railway play put-put or make new friends at the play area with swings slides etc. br / br / br / br / Within walking distance of Riverbank House are several fine restaurants and pubs in the town centre. You will not lack good places to eat. The bus and railway station are only five minutes walk from us and we regularly welcome visitors using these excellent facilities. br / br / br / br / Our Matlock bed and breakfast accommodation is ideally placed for walkers cyclists and potholers. Whether you re athletic or not we ll set you up for the day with our hearty breakfasts using local produce be it full English or continental. All tastes can be catered for including vegetarian celiac vegan just ask and we ll oblige...we ll even go fishing for kippers... br / br / br / br / Built in the 1860 s this Matlock b and b is a spacious Victorian house of character. A large garden on the river is available for guests to relax in (weather permitting) and we are happy to provide seating and even the odd hammock for you to while away those sunny hours. If you are a fisher-man or -woman then we are the only guest house with our own rights to fish for trout grayling or chubb. br / br / br / br / Our bed and breakfast hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Matlock to explore the town and its attractions. If you are attending a function or wedding reception at Cromwell Hotel or County Hall we are within walking distance. Riber Hall Hotel and New Bath Hotel are not far.

Directions to Riverbank Guest House Matlock

By road: From the south along the A6. After Matlock Bath take the first right turn as you enter Matlock. From the north. Along the A6. Pass by Sainsburys on your right through the next lights take the next left in to Old English Road. Derwent Ave is at the bottom on your right. From the west. Exit 28 on the M1 follow the signs to Matlock. At the traffic island in the centre of Matlock head south toward Derby/Matlock Bath and Cromford for 150 metres and take the first left toward the river and you will find us in the quiet cul-de sac on the right. By rail: Come out of the station walk to the main road turn right and walk 100m to the 2nd turning on your left. Follow the Riverbank sign. By bus: Walk to the traffic island in the centre of Matlock go into Hall Leys park by way of the crossing opposite the Tourist Information Centre. Walk parallel to the river and cross the footbridge 100mts on your right. Turn left into Derwent Ave.
