North Shields - Boat: Upon leaving the ferry port take the A19 south and go through the tyne tunnel. South Shields is located about 5 miles past the tunnel follow signs for South Shields then Town Centre then Coast this should bring you onto Ocean Rd carry on along Ocean road until the Terraced houses end and the North Marine Park commences on the left side. Make a left turn onto Lawe Rd where you will find Julian Avenue fourth turning on the left the Britannia Guest House is at the end of the road on the left. br/ br/ A19 and A1 - Road: From the A19 or A1 exit for South Shields. Follow signs for South Shields until Town Centre is signed follow Town Centre signs until signed for Coast this will bring you onto Ocean Road. Drive along Ocean Road until the terraced houses cease and the North Marine Park commences at this point take a left turn onto Lawe Road Julian Avenue is fourth turning on the left the Britannia Guest House is at the end of the road on the left side. From the A1 or A19 should only be approx 10 mins.
