The team offer you a warm welcome to The Royal Ship Hotel Dolgellau. The Royal Ship Hotel is an early 19th century Coaching Inn in the heart of the old Market Town of Dolgellau. We are ideally situated to explore the beauty of North and Mid Wales. Located in the picturesque Snowdonia National Park. The Hotel is surrounded by mountains rivers and fishing lakes and is only a few minutes drive from the coast of the Irish Sea. It is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday or short break. The Hotel offers 23 bedrooms. There are 17 en suite rooms and the remaining 6 rooms have private allocated bathrooms. You can choose between Single Double Twin or Triple rooms. Some of our rooms have an attractive view over the Town Square and the Cader Idris Mountain Range. All rooms are well equipped with tea & coffee facilities TV and local tourist information. We can cater for large groups and families. NOTE: Pets welcome at an extra charge of £5 per night but you MUST inform us at the time of booking as only some of our rooms are suitable for pets. Please do not bring your four legged pal without contacting the hotel first. Directions to The Royal Ship Hotel Dolgellau

Birmingham Airport & South of England - Road: On the M6 journey north & join the M54 at junction 10A in the direction of Telford & North Wales. Eventually merging with the A5 close to Shrewsbury follow this road until the roundabout junction with the A458 take this in the direction of Welshpool. Stay on the A458 and follow the signs for the A470 and Dolgellau. From the North: Travel from Chester following the signs for North Wales join the A5117 in the direction of Queensferry. Take the A494 via Mold Ruthin & Bala to Dolgellau. Public Transport: From the North you are likely to travel via Wrexham. At Wrexham take the GHA X94 to Barmouth and alight in Dolgellau. The journey takes approximately 2 hours. From the South you will travel via Birmingham. From Birmingham New Street Station board an ARRIVA Trains Wales service to Aberystwyth. Alight in Machynlleth where you will need to take the Lloyds Coaches T2 service to Dolgellau. All busses into Dolgellau stop in Eldon/Queens Square just opposite the Hotel
