Abbey Lodge Guest House is a large Victorian town house situated in the heart of Southsea. We have a good selection of rooms both en-suite and with shared bathrooms. We offer our rooms on a fully flexible basis either as room only or with breakfast included. Single occupancy of all our double rooms is available as is a discount for a non refundable booking. br / br / br / br / We are just a ten minute stroll from the beach and Common which makes us ideally situated for the Victorious Festival and the Great South Run. We are also within easy reach of the Historic Dockyard Heritage Museums Portsmouth University campus Gunwarf Quays shopping and entertainment complex Spinnaker Tower Kings Theatre and the Wedgewood rooms. Ferries to France Spain and the Isle of Wight are easy to reach as is the cruise terminal. br / br / br / br / Accommodation is provided in eight comfortably furnished rooms where a cosy and welcoming atmosphere is combined with individual attention. br / br / If booked with your room we offer a generous home cooked and award winning traditional English breakfastt which is cooked to order for you: Vegetarian diets are catered for with prior notice. Our sausages are bought from our local Butcher and our bacon is selected. Fresh mushrooms and tomatoes are bought for you that day. br / br / br / br / We have free secure wireless Internet access throughout. br / br / br / br / Cyclists are welcome and we are happy to securely store bikes overnight for a small charge. There is room to park a motorcycle on our frontage. We are lucky to be in one of the few areas in Portsmouth without a residents parking scheme so local old fashioned on-street parking is plentiful and free. br / br / br / br / We do not accept groups and are adult only for your peace and comfort. br / br / br / br / Check in is from 16:00hrs to 21:00hrs latest and our award winning cooked to order breakfast is served between 08:00hrs and 09:00hrs.

Directions to Abbey Lodge Guest House Portsmouth

M27 J12/A27 - Road: Follow signs for Portsmouth West via M27 J12/A27 and M275 then follow signs for Southsea. At the roundabout at the end of the M275 continue straight over and then take the third exit into Market Way. Go straight over the mini roundabout and then straight on at two more sets of traffic lights into Anglesea Road you will see Victoria swimming pool on your left. At the next junction still following the Southsea signs follow the road around to the left bearing right almost immediately. br/ br/ Fratton Rail Station - Train: Leaving the platform at Fratton station at the top of the footbridge turn left and exit onto Goldsmith Avenue. Cross the road at the pedestrian lights and turn right. At the roundabout turn first left into Fawcett Road and cross the mini roundabout further down into Lawrence Road. Go straight over at the traffic lights into Waverley Road. Abbey Lodge Guest House is on the left in about 500m just after Waverley Park: You will see the bright yellow B&B sign outside as you walk down Waverley Road. br/ br/ Southamton Airport - Air: Abbey Lodge Guest House is approximately 30 minutes drive (21 miles) from Southampton International Airport by road. From the airport terminal follow the signs to the M27 and join at junction 5 towards Portsmouth: Leave at junction 12 and follow the directions as above driving down the M275. You may also take a Train from the adjacent Southampton Parkway Station to Fratton.
