Cowclose Farm is a 200 year old stone farmhouse situated on the eastern edge of The Peak District National Park Cowclose Farm enjoys a quiet but not isolated location with beautiful views. We are near to Chatsworth House Haddon Hall Hardwick Hall (NT) Renishaw Hall and Gardens Bolsover Castle (EH) Bakewell Matlock Chesterfield and Sheffield. There are Walks from the Door (with leaflets and maps tried and tested by us) and Peak District Walks to suit all interests and levels of fitness. Return to our local pub (The Gate Inn) for excellent food and hospitality. Our 2 guest bedrooms are spotless clean and well furnished with comfortable beds. Each has a generous hospitality tray plus TV/DVD. We welcome guests with complimentary tea and homemade cake on arrival. Our spacious guest lounge is at your disposal in the evenings. FREE WIFI IN LOUNGE. GUEST FRIDGE/FREEZER IN LOUNGE. We have a prestigious Visit England Breakfast Award The inspector recognised the high standards of hospitality which we offer our guests and our wide selection of main courses including some imaginative fish and vegetarian dishes. She commented on our use of local produce including fruit and vegetables from our garden.

Directions to Cowclose Farm Chesterfield

FROM THE M1 - about 20/25 minutes Leave M1 motorway at Junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout take 4th exit (A61 NORTH signposted Sheffield). At next roundabout (near Tesco) go straight ahead following the A61 towards Sheffield. At next roundabout get into the inside lane and take 2nd exit for Cutthorpe and Baslow (B6050). Follow road for approx 2 miles to staggered cross roads (Four Lanes End). Turn right then immediately left (B6050 signposted Cutthorpe). Follow road for approx 2 miles passing through Cutthorpe village until you see the Gate Inn on right. Cowclose Farm is the next property on the left. FROM CHESTERFIELD - about 10 minutes Follow the A61 north towards Sheffield then follow the above directions from . FROM THE WEST (BASLOW) - about 10 minutes Follow the Chesterfield road (A619). Turn left at The Robin Hood pub (B6050) After about 1 mile there is a left turn (still B6050). Stay on this road. You will go down a steep hill and we are the 2nd farm on the right. (Note that the 1st farm is also Cow Close Farm - slightly different spelling. ) Nearest Train Station: Chesterfield (5 miles 8 km) Nearest Airport: East Midlands
