At the edge of the Wasdale valley just 15 minutes drive from Wastwater - Englands deepest lake BRITAINS FAVOURITE VIEW and Scafell Pike - Englands highest mountain is a former C of E School dating back to 1856 and now a quality adults only B and B which manages to combine some of the great scenic views of the valley from a vantage point of a wonderfully quiet location. With high and low level walks easily accessible from the house it is the ideal location for a break away from it all. br / br / br / br / Having only two en-suite bedrooms which are warm and comfortable and lovingly decorated using Laura Ashley wallcoverings and fabrics you are assured of our personal attention. We have focused on quality rather than quantity and both rooms offer deluxe lavender infused Egyptian cotton bedlinen quality duvets and pillows fluffy bathrobes towels and slippers - your comfort is our utmost priority. br / br / br / br / We provide quality toiletries and our hospitality tray consists of freshly ground & instant coffee regular & speciality teas hot chocolate & home made cake. Directions to The Old School Holmrook

From M6 South - Road: Leave the M6 at Exit 36. Follow A590 to Greenodd. Take A5092 to Grizebeck then take A595 to Holmrook. Turn right before The Esso garage follow road to Santon Bridge for approx 1 mile take the third lane to the left signposted Irton Church. The Old School is the 2nd building up the lane. Some sat navs direct over Hardknott and Wrynose pass this is not the direct route follow the A595 br/ br/ From M6 North - Road: Leave the M6 at Exit 44. Follow A7 soutj to Carlisle. Take A595 to Holmrook turning first left after the Esso garage. Take the third lane on the left approx 1 mile from the main road signposted Irton Church the Old School is the 2nd building up the lane.
