Serenely nestled in the perfect fell-top setting and boasting the most stunning views of Lake Windermere and open fells Blenheim Lodge is located in the tranquil heart of the Lake District National Park. We offer the ideal retreat where you can simply relax and unwind in cosy comfort. We serve quality local produce for breakfast with a varied selection available including vegetarian alternatives. Our meats (hand-cured and hand-cut bacon and handmade sausages made to a specific recipe) are sourced from a third-generation butchers. Our family guest house has a relaxing home from home atmosphere and is fully equipped with all that you will need for a wonderful stay. Built in 1868 Blenheim Lodge has retained many of its original Victorian features character and charm. Each of our lovingly furnished bedrooms is unique in look and feel with no two rooms alike. Many include antique furniture such as our beautiful Louis XV beds and early 19th century 4-Posters the latter of which have been beautifully refurbished with gorgeous silk drapes and canopies. /p An oft praised attribute of our Bed and Breakfast are the far-reaching views to be enjoyed from both our public spaces and guest rooms. From our perch on Brant Fell into which Blenheim Lodge sleepily snuggles most of our guest rooms offer aspects of Lake Windermere and fell views either looking northwards as far as the eye can see toward the shores of Lake Windermere and the fells or encompassing up to nine miles of Lake Windermere s 10.5-mile breadth and its surrounding and distant fells. Some rooms also overlook Brant Fell itself the hill on which our family home and guest house sits. One room The Dalesway has been named after The Dales Way the famous long distance footpath which it overlooks. /p Blenheim Lodge is a great place to stay if one wants to get away from the busyness of daily life but also wishes to have amenities within easy walking distance. Peace and quiet surrounds our house but just 5 minutes amble finds one in bustling Bowness town with all its amenities attractions and Lake Windermere. /p We offer incredible views from our rooms with woodland walks and National Trust acres to wander at will and panoramic as well as 360-degree viewpoints just a short stroll or easy hike from our doorstep. Take advantage of the location of our guesthouse and there is space to breathe to absorb the utter beauty and tranquillity of the Lakes. The Dales Way walk is right behind our house a literal half-minute saunter from our front door offering a real - and convenient - haven for Dales Way walkers. /p Blenheim Lodge truly offers the best of both worlds! The situation of our homely Bowness Bed and Breakfast makes one feel like one is far away from it all yet only a short 5-minute walk downhill are those shops restaurants services attractions and activities and many guests enjoy. We want our guests to feel at home whilst visiting with us: so we have also provided a light airy and comfortable guest lounge with amazing lake and fell views where one can repose after a day of exploring or simply to read chat or enjoy a quiet cuppa. Directions to Blenheim Lodge Bowness-on-Windermere

Travelling from the North: Leave the M6 motorway at the Kendal junction (J 36) and follow the signs to Windermere. Go through Windermere. Follow signs for The Lake Bowness-on-Windermere or The Pier. In Bowness turn first left at the mini roundabout. Turn first left again onto Kendal Road. Then left again onto Brantfell Road. Turn right at the top of Brantfell Road. Blenheim Lodge is on the left hand side. Travelling from the South: Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and take the A591 (South Lakes) to Windermere. In Windermere turn left to Bowness (about 1.5 miles). In Bowness turn first left at the mini roundabout. Turn first left onto Kendal Road and left again onto Brantfell Road. Turn right at the top of Brantfell Road. Blenheim Lodge is on the left hand side.
