Alternatively you can let the train take the strain by using the excellent rail service which runs between the nearby town of Bathgate and Edinburgh city centre. br/ br/ Bathgate - Train: Cruachan B B is only a short distance from Bathgate railway station which is well served with taxis and bus services. The trains run between Edinburgh and Glasgow at 15 minute intervals at peak times. br/ br/ Edinburgh airport - Air: Edinburgh airport is the closest airport to Cruachan B B. It takes approximately 20 minutes by car to get to Cruachan. the most direct route is by the M8 motorway to junction 4 and then on to the A725 in to Blackburn.
