17th Century farmhouse set in 400 acres in its own valley. Four of the bedrooms are newly renovated with modern en suite bathroom in a converted barn beside the house. The other 2 bedrooms in the house share a bathroom . Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room before an inglnook fireplace with a fire and candles always burning. The farmhouse is 2 miles from Barnstaple but set in a private valley with lakes ponies chickens and geese and evrything you would expect in an old property which has belonged to the family for 400 years. The rooms are expertly decorated by Caroline who has published 6 books on decorating and the food sourced from the estate. pheasant and pigeon are often on the menu depending on the season.

FROM LONDON (allow about 3 hrs ) 1 EITHER THE M4 THEN THE M5 OR ELSE THE A303 JOINING THE M5 AT EXIT 25. 2 LEAVE THE M5 AT EXIT 27. TAKE THE ROAD TOWARDS BARNSTAPLE (BEWARE OF SPEED TRAPS). NOW 40MINS TO HOME. 3 JUST BEFORE BARNSTAPLE TAKE THE LEFT EXIT OFF A ROUNDABOUT TOWARDS BIDEFORD AND BUDE 4 GO OVER 2ND AND 3RD ROUNDABOUTS THEN TURN LEFT AT THE 4TH ONE SIGNPOSTED TO TORRINGTON ON THE B3232 5 AFTER 1 MILE BEAR LEFT TO EASTACOMBE AND TAWSTOCK. GO THROUGH EASTACOMBE. AFTER MILE OUR FARM TRACK IS FIRST ON THE LEFT 10 METRES AFTER THE TAWSTOCK VILLAGE SIGN (OPPOSITE A MODERN CREAM BUNGALOW) IF YOU GO DOWN STEEP HILL YOU HAVE MISSED IT. YOU WILL SEE A CREAM FARMHOUSE WITH A PINK FRONT DOOR. BEAR LEFT AT THE BOTTOM OF DRIVE.
