We are only an 8-minute drive from Colchester Train Station and only 20 minutes away on the A120 from Harwich International Port with connections to Holland and Denmark. Cyclists and walkers are welcome. Our rooms have pretty garden views and guests are welcomed with tea and homemade cake on arrival. br / br / br / br / Our charming A Hideaway Retreat is owned and managed by your hosts husband and wife Richard and Gail. We have been in the hospitality industry for over 16 years having previously run a B&B in another property. Our vast amount of experience enables us to offer you a friendly first class service that will make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Our bed and breakfast has two very large suite rooms individually tastefully designed and very homely. Guests here are welcomed from all over the world and our home is a bungalow therefore all on ground level. br / br / br / br / br / br / Breakfast is served each day in our brand new modern stylish and comfortable dining room. We offer an extensive menu of delicious locally sourced food or that from our own garden in season prepared and cooked by us. Choices range from a full English traditionally cooked breakfast with other choices too and also a lighter choice of menu or continental breakfast. Vegetarian options are also available. Local organic produce is used whenever possible and we provide home-made marmalades & jams many various bakes. We always welcome guests upon arrival with homemade tea/coffee & homemade cakes (varied according to that which are made by ourselves) br / br / br / br / IMPORTANT NOTICE: Check-in is from 4pm. However it is very important that guests liaise with us for an arrival time. Check-out is at 10:30am. Latest check-in is at 21:00. Early check-ins may be available upon request but can not be guaranteed.

Ipswich - Road: 0n A12 take A1232 towards Colchester town centre and then follow the instructions above. br/ br/ London - Road: 0n A12 take A1232 towards Colchester town centre. In approx. 3/4 mile at roundabout take 1st exit onto St John s Road. A Hideaway Retreat is situated on the corner of the 3rd turning on the right (53 Anthony Close). The bungalow with large driveway. Please park on the left of driveway. br/ br/ Harwich - Road: On A120 take the left slip road onto A1232 towards Colchester town centre and then follow the instructions above.
