Located at the very top of Weardale on the borders of County Durham Cumbria and Northumberland you are ideally located for so many attractions and activities here. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage. Situated on the southern flank of Killhope Law this cottage is located at around 1800ft (550 metres) above sea level making it one of the highest altitude accommodation properties in the country. You will also be in the heart of a Dark Sky designated area and enjoy the heavens like never before.

Directions by Car From the M6 Leave at Junc 40. Take A66 east then A686 East towards Alston joining the A689. Go through the centre of Alston continuing on the A689 for about 6.5 miles. After going through Nenthead and climbing and descending a steep hill Hill Top is accessed via a track on the left hand side. The first left turning encountered is to White Hall. The Hill Top left turn is a short distance further on and has a sign. From the A1(M) Leave at Junc 60 and take A689 West. Continue on A689 for 36.3 miles. The access track leading to Hill Top is on the right about 0.5 miles past the Killhope Lead Mining Museum.
