The Adjutant s room is also pet friendly. br / br / br / br / The communal hallway houses a well-stocked library for guests to while away the hours and a comfy leather sofa for relaxing after long country walks! br / br / br / br / We offer very competitive rates for corporate users on request. br / br / br / br / The Dabbling Duck pub was opened in 2006 as the result of a tireless community action group and a far-sighted local authority s 6 year campaign to prevent the beautiful old building (previously the Rose and Crown pub) from being converted into housing. br / br / br / br / The Dabbling Duck is based in Great Massingham one of Norfolk s most attractive villages and located approximately 40 miles west of Norwich and 13 miles east of King s Lynn. It has one of the most impressive greens in the country with several large ponds (home to the dabbling ducks!) which were originally fish ponds for an 11th century Augustinian Abbey.

Directions to The Dabbling Duck Great Massingham

From King s Lynn - Road: Take the B1145 from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital roundabout towards Gayton. Travel along the B1145 through Gayton and on for another 5 miles. At the small cross roads turn left (signposted to Great Massingham). Continue along this road until you reach the village centre. br/ br/ From Fakenham - Road: Take the A148 (signposted towards King s Lynn). Continue along the A148 for about 9 miles through East Rudham. Then turn left onto Nethergate Street (signposted Massingham Harpley) and continue on this road through Harpley in to Great Massingham. br/ br/ From Swaffham: - Road: Take the A1065 towards Cromer. After 6-7 miles turn left onto the B1145 (signposted King s Lynn) then after 2 miles turn right onto Rougham Road. Continue along this road.
