All the animals that have turned up at our door over the years from highly strung ex-racing thoroughbreds to scatty Dexter cattle have become wonderfully calm and content within days of arriving. br / br / br / br / Friends and house guests feel this same calm contentment and comment on how relaxed and at home they feel when they come to stay. They then go back to their busy lives refreshed and invigorated. br / br / br / br / Standing at the head of its own ancient valley the Woundale with views up towards the North York Moors yet nestled cosily in the foothills rising above Thirsk Woundales Farm is ideally located to explore North Yorkshire. Minutes from the A19 and 15 minutes from the A1 assures fast access to all the major towns cities and attractions in the district and beyond.

London - Road: Directions M1/ A1 north then A168 (A19) north. Leave the A19 at Knayton and Borrowby exit (2mls north of Thirsk). Follow Borrowby signs into the centre of the village. Turn Right at the Wheatsheaf Pub to Cowesby and Kepwick. After 400m go under A19 and on a further 100m turn sharp left into the lane & entrance to Woundales Farm. Come through the gate marked no public right of way. Alternatively for sat nav go to the village of Borrowby using post code YO7 4QP then use post code YO7 4BD (not BP) br/ br/ Edinburgh - Road: South A1 to A168 (A19) north. Or Newcastle A19 south leave the A19 at Knayton and Borrowby exit (2mls north of Thirsk). Follow Borrowby signs into the centre of the village. Taxis are available at the station or we can arrange one for you. However it is best to have a car or cycle for your stay at Woundales.
